I am looking at a backup mower for my place. Have found several B6100s and 7100s for sale. What would be the largest mid mount and/or 3 point mower either would handle? What is the horsepower ratings of these two models, I have seen everything from 12 to 19hp, which is correct?

Thanks,
Doug

My B6200, similar to B6100, is about 15hp at the engine. PTO hp is about 12-13. I think the B7200 is around 17hp, so the 7100 might be the same. I run a 60" mid-mount mower with my 6200 and the tractor has no power related problems, even with very high wet grass.

I run a Land Pride 48" rear finish mower off my B6100E. Just need to use full throttle and not pop the clutch. You will also need to mow in first gear when the grass gets high or heavy. Other wise it does a great job. I am thinking about keeping mine for close in mowing when I buy an L3130 soon. ....

Thanks for the info, so it sounds like the largest mower would be a 60" with a strong engine. Does this sound correct? For my size lot I do not want to get anything smaller than a 72" deck. So with that in mind, what is the smallest Kubota that will drive that size deck? I would like to find a L3010 or a B7800 but money would be an issue. So I must look smaller but still want a 72" deck. What about a L175 or L235?

Thanks,
Doug ....
